I am incredibly honoured to become regional organiser for the West Midlands. Since gaining this position I have hit the ground running and worked hard to reengage the local member base. I will bring a similar fervour as a convention delegate, getting involved in as much as I can. This position has also shown me the untapped potential of regional groups in Democrats Abroad. Most DA events in the UK are held in London, but there is a significant population of Americans living outside of capital cities. Voting registration and political speaker events are important for engaging DA members to volunteer and vote in American elections. I continue to champion the expansion of Democrats Abroad events into country regions. I have also used this position to refresh my knowledge on voter registration and campaigning, as well as expand my knowledge of voting rights for Americans abroad, through training with DA-UK. I will continue to seek out opportunities to expand my political skills and knowledge base, at the DNC and beyond.
